In Turkey, the Jewish community joined with JDC and The Jewish Agency for Israel to establish a new training initiative for youth leaders (madrichim), with the aim of cultivating a new generation of leaders among the community’s young adults. Working in cooperation with the Weinberg Black Sea Gesher Region, the Institute held its inaugural seminar in January 2007.
